Southern Business Web and Networks is the brain child of Mike Aukema and Jacques Smith. With over 40 combined years in the technology field, Mike and Jacques saw a niche in the Northern Virginia market for a technology company that specialized in delivering superior service. They saw too many companies who had been waiting for months for a change for their web site and heard too many horror stories from companies about how non-responsive their vendors were.

Mike Aukema - Mike is a network engineer extraordinaire. He has worked for UUNet (the largest Internet backbone in the country, now owned by Verizon). He has worked for billion dollar plus financial institutions and has been supporting WAN's & LAN's for 20 years. What customers like best about Mike is he always answers the phone or calls you right back if he's on the phone with a customer.

Jacques Smith - Jacques is a programmer extraordinaire. He was writing programs before Microsoft Windows existed. Jacques has been writing software since the late 80's. He has written software for Real Estate, Medical Applications, International Finance, Legal, Automotive and Insurance. Jacques career includes 2 stints as Chief Technology Officer for National Banks. A rare benefit Jacques brings to the table is a blend of technical and real business experience. He understands business and that translates into a software application that does what you need it to do the first time.
